-- Merry crisis and a happy new fear
This week's top recommendation
I've been a pretty blue-chip music listener this year. The new records I liked best where mostly by artist I've been listening to for years. It's either because I couldn't spend that much time on discovering new music than in the years before - or I've already entered the "Ye goode olde days" mindset. Then again, my favourite artists have all released great new records and with James Blake, Anna Calvi and The Legendary Lightness, there are at least three newcomers among my top ten. So here's how 2011 sounded to me.

I never liked Flipboard. Beautiful but useless. With their iPhone app, they got me. A great way to quickly browse through interesting new stuff my network recommends.

Not exactly how a nice christmas story begins: "When Ben Rogers first picked up a camera, he didn't know we was about to film the last two years of his life." A great, yet haunting documentary.
