Weekly Filet #103: The Human Body, Fixed. And more.
This week's top recommendation
Technological body enhancement has been talked about a lot lately, and I've linked to a number of related stories (most notably, perhaps, the Self-Made Cyborgs). Google Glass is just the latest development in that direction. What if, however, evolution had done a better job on human bodies? I found this nice old piece from Scientific American with illustrations of a more durable human body. Looks like they mashed up characters from Lord of the Rings.

Very nice multimedia feature on an American cycling prodigy and the very long shadow of Lance Armstrong.
→ Cyclings Road Forward (Washington Post)
Useful and important to know: a collection of facts and background on military drones and what they do.

Spectacular: sports events from a referee's perspective. Would love to see this for football matches. Maybe not so great for tennis, though.

This sure looks like a documentary worth watching. On Tahrir square as a symbol of Egypt's revolution.
